Help & support
Common questions — or email us any time.
How do I add a client site?
On your dashboard, paste a URL (single or bulk). We check uptime, SSL, domain expiry, Core Web Vitals, SEO and broken links.
How often are sites checked?
Automatically on a schedule (more frequent on higher tiers), plus you can run a check anytime with "Check".
How do alerts work?
Set an alert email — and optionally a Slack/Discord webhook — in settings. We notify you on downtime, expiring SSL/domain, and new broken links.
Can I send clients a report?
Yes — set your branding in settings, then send a white-label report per site or per client, or enable a monthly auto-report.
What's a status page?
An opt-in public page (per site) showing uptime you can share with a client. Enable it on the site's detail page.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed via Lemon Squeezy. Upgrade or manage your subscription from settings; cancel anytime.
What does the security check find?
On each check we grade a site's security posture — HTTPS & TLS, security headers, cookie flags, mixed content, exposed files (like .env or .git), outdated-CMS version disclosure, and Google's blocklist. You get an A–F grade and a prioritized fix list. Try it free at the security checker.
How does form monitoring work?
On a site's detail page, add a form monitor: point it at the form's page, map the fields to test values, and tell us how success looks (a thank-you message, a redirect, or an element). We submit it on a schedule in a real browser and alert you the moment it stops working. Never use real client passwords — test data only.
What is visual change detection?
It screenshots a page, stores a baseline, and re-shoots it on a schedule — alerting you if more than your chosen threshold of the page visibly changes. It catches defacements and layouts broken by an update. After an intended redesign, hit "re-baseline".
How is uptime measured?
We check on a schedule and, if you deploy the free multi-region probes, from several locations — marking a site down only when at least two regions agree, so one blip never causes a false alarm. Your status page shows uptime % and an incident history.
Can you check accessibility (WCAG)?
Yes — add an accessibility monitor on a site's detail page. We run a real WCAG audit (axe-core) on a schedule, score it, list violations by impact, and alert you if accessibility regresses. Useful for EAA/ADA compliance. Try it free at the accessibility checker.
How does rank tracking work?
Connect Google Search Console once in settings (read-only). For each site that's a verified property, we pull real keyword positions, clicks and impressions, show movement over time, and alert you when rankings drop. Your Google token is encrypted and can be disconnected anytime.
What's the client portal?
A read-only, white-label status page for a whole client — their sites' live status and uptime, with your branding. Enable it on a client from your dashboard and share the link. It shows only that client's sites (no security detail), and you can disable it anytime to revoke the link.
What do the plans include?
Free = on-demand checks + a security grade. Starter adds scheduled monitoring, alerts, white-label & monthly reports, uptime SLA and status pages. Agency adds form, visual and accessibility monitoring, rank tracking, multi-region uptime, per-client grouping and the client portal. See settings for your plan and limits.
Why didn't I get a down alert the instant my site failed one check?
By design — we only send a "site down" alert after 2 consecutive failed checks (and, if you've deployed the multi-region probes, only when 2+ regions agree). A momentary blip won't page you or your client. A real outage still alerts on the next check. More on our accuracy approach.
Can I pause alerts during a deploy?
Yes. On a site's detail page, mute alerts for 1, 4 or 24 hours. Checks keep running and recording — only the alerts are silenced — and it auto-expires, so a site that's still down when the mute ends will alert normally.
Will I get a flood of emails if lots breaks at once?
No — on each scheduled run we group everything wrong with a site into a single notification, rather than one email per issue.
Email support@sitefolio.io — we usually reply within a day.
