Free domain expiry checker
Check when a domain expires, straight from the registry record. A forgotten renewal can wipe out site, email and brand at once — and recovering a lapsed domain is slow or impossible.
How this works
We query the domain registry via RDAP (the modern WHOIS) and read the expiration date. Some country-code TLDs don't expose it — we say so honestly rather than showing a false 'healthy'.
When to renew
Treat 60 days out as 'plan it' and 30 days as 'do it now'. Enable auto-renew, but still monitor — expired cards and changed accounts are how auto-renew quietly fails.
Watch client domains
Clients often hold their own domains where you can't see. Sitefolio monitors the public registry record and warns you in time regardless.
Frequently asked questions
Can I recover an expired domain?
Sometimes during a redemption grace period, but it's costly and not guaranteed. Prevention is far cheaper.
What if no expiry date shows?
Some ccTLDs don't publish it via RDAP. We report that rather than guessing.
